“I was fortunate enough through IEP Australia to be offered a position in Guest Services selling day tickets, season passes and helping guests with questions about the resort. Working with an awesome group of people from all over the globe has made my experience at Sunshine Village something I’ll never forget. Coming to work and snowboarding in the Canadian Rockies for 7 months of the year, you couldn't ask for anything better....”
- Nicole Brice. Guest Services. Tamworth, Australia

“This is my second time working for Sunshine Village; and although I took a rather lengthy leave of absence after my first tenure, the resort and its people have always remained near and dear to my heart.  Many of the friends I made when I first started waaaay back in 1984 are still friends, and some have become family. When the opportunity arose to work at Sunshine again I didn’t hesitate, and am very happy to have returned to one of the prettiest places on earth.  And of course – you can’t beat the snow!  My experiences from working in other parts of the ski industry, and at other resorts have confirmed for me that Sunshine remains one of the most uniquely wonderful and beautiful places on earth.”
-Dorothy Gould. Occupational Health and Safety. North Vancouver, Canada

“I work for the Bourgeau Services Department as a Base Area Attendant. A day in my job consists of assisting cars to park in our lots, driving bobcats to clear snow, driving our pick-up and garbage truck into Banff to pick up and drop off items for our mountain and working in valet. I love my job at Sunshine so much I intend to return next season. The staff here are great! My supervisor told me on my first day, ‘Have fun at work, or I’ll make you do it again until you do.’ Sunshine has supplied me with a comfortable working environment so I wake up happy to go to work. Furthermore, I get to work outside in one of the most scenic surroundings in the world! As for the perks, this position has allowed me to ride at eight mountains across Alberta and BC for free and I have more trips planned. I also get regular ride breaks at work so during the middle of most work days I get to ride for a few hours. We get discounts on food and equipment and cheap deals on staff trips such as going to Flames hockey games, ski-doo runs, heli-skiing, overnight staff trips plus more.”
- Jarrod Clarke. Bourgeau Services. Keilor, Australia

“It’s now 5 months into the ski season here at Sunshine Village and every day feels like a holiday. After coming to Banff for the Sunshine hiring fair I was lucky enough to land a job in Guest Services, where as with everyone else on the mountain I get to work with a great group of people from all over the world. Having the chance to live, snowboard and party within the beautiful Canadian Rockies is an awesome experience. Sunshine offers a fantastic reciprocal program with other mountains in Canada and organizes staff trips to help take advantage of it.”
– Max Stolton. Guest Services. East Sussex, United Kingdom

"Last season was so much fun as a Gondola Operator, I've returned to Sunshine Village this time as a Foreman. Taking on a more responsible role has been such a rewarding experience. I've learnt new skills, made new friends and get to ride around the mountain on a sled! On gondola we work hard in the daytime, board in our downtime and party in our time off! It's a good life eh! Season 2 - back for love of the place, people and snow!"
– Giselle Owens

“Whether it be sharing a chair lift with your buddies, a local, or a holiday maker from across the world as you swap stories on your way up to the beginning of one of Sunshine’s highest scenic runs; or leaving your room first thing in the morning to walk the 2 minutes to the nearest lift to be the first person down the mountain to make fresh tracks on silky smooth pristine powder, undoubtedly you will encounter many new and unforgettable memories. Living in Canada has given me the opportunity to try many other activities that are uniquely Canadian.  Some of these include tobogganing, cross country skiing, ice fishing, snow shoeing, dog sledding, tubing and ice skating.  New experiences are plentiful so don’t just sit there year after year and look at the pictures and wonder if you should go.  Get out there and see it for yourself!”
-Kylie Harris. Hotel Front Desk

“I attended the Sunshine Village Hiring Fair in Banff and was lucky enough to secure an amazing part time job in Human Resources! Within my job as a Human Resources Assistant I meet loads of staff from all different departments and help organize events such as; staff trips to other ski hills, Calgary hockey games, ice fishing, on-hill trivia nights and annual celebrations like Australia Day and St Patrick’s Day! With so many different things happening here at Sunshine, I know I am experiencing the best Canada has to offer.”
– Nickie Clee. Human Resources
