Department: Sunshine Mountain Lodge

Reporting to: Hotel Manager and Front Desk Supervisor

Start Date:  Various start dates, late October, early November and mid-November (weather dependent)

Accommodation: Discretionary



Front Desk Agents provide an outstanding experience for our guests. They are responsible for making reservations and checking lodge guests in/out of the property while creating a warm and welcoming environment.  This is a key guest service role that requires dealing with challenges in a friendly and professional manner. This is also a physically demanding position that requires standing for long periods of time and some heavy lifting.


Essential Functions:

  • Provide excellent guest service
  • Assist guests with all aspects of reservations in a knowledgeable manner; requires thorough understanding of Sunshine Village’s services and products
  • Deal with challenging guest situations in a friendly and professional manner; this includes using the switchboard and dispatch in the event of emergencies
  • Accept payment transactions and accurately complete daily cash-outs
  • Maintain public areas in and around the hotel as required
·       Other duties as assigned including cross-departmental utilization in night audit, bell desk, and janitorial departments



  • Passion for providing outstanding guest service
  • Prior hotel and/or guest service experience
  • Previous cash handling experience with the ability to accurately manage a cash float
  • Strong computer knowledge with highly proficient skills
  • Positive attitude with the ability to problem solve
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Current First Aid and CPR preferred
  • Must be able to complete training and testing for on-hill tracked vehicle and snowmobile licenses
