Award winning trails at Sunshine Village Best of The Bow Awards names Delirium Dive as best run September 26, 2013 With snow falling in the mountains, ski and snowboard enthusiasts everywhere are creating their to-do list of which runs to conquer this season, and there’s no doubt that Delirium Dive at Sunshine Village Ski and Snowboard Resort is on that list. After weeks of public voting, the annual Rocky Mountain Outlook’s Best of the Bow awards named the world renowned off-piste trail as best ski run. One of the most recognized freeride zones around the globe, Delirium Dive is a shining example of Sunshine Village’s commitment to providing the best extreme terrain possible within a ski and snowboard resort’s boundary. The Dive features over 2,000 feet of vertical, a 40 degree average pitch and over 600 acres of terrain. The extreme off-piste ski experience is classified as an expert, or double black diamond run. Like all of Sunshine’s freeride zones, the following safety requirements are mandatory for access: You must carry an avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe and must have a partner with you who is also competent in using the above-mentioned equipment. Delirium Dive is located off the summit of Lookout Mountain and is often home to the best snow conditions in the Canadian Rockies. The resort also features more than 3,300 acres of skiable terrain, ranging from gentle, inviting beginner runs all the way up to the most extreme big mountain runs. Sunshine Village would like to thank all the fans who voted in the Best of the Bow and hope to see everyone on the slopes in the 2013- 2014 season. Mother Nature dependant, opening day will be on Friday, November 8th, 2013. For more information on Delirium Dive, visit http://www.skibanff.com/things-to-do/delirium-dive-wild-west/.
