Sunshine’s 5th annual fundraiser to bring awareness to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation

Sunshine Village will bring a hint of summer to the slopes, with the 5th annual Bikini’s and Boardshorts Ski & Ride on Sunday, May 19th.  Ladies sporting bikini tops and men wearing boardshorts will ski down Sunshine’s Strawberry face run to bring awareness and raise funds for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

The event, which raised $13,000 in 2012 and more than $25,000 in 2011 will begin at 1 p.m. at the Strawberry Express High Speed Quad Chairlift.

Registration has closed for this year’s event, but spectators are welcome to watch the fun. Participants had to raise a minimum of $50 in pledges to partake. Finishing in the village, prizes will be given out to participants including awards for the top fundraising team and individual, and best costume.
