Bow Valley community ski days Dec 11, 2012 Annual event to support local charities Sunshine Village Ski and Snowboard Resort will get into the giving spirit of the holidays on Friday, December 14th with the annual tri-area Community Ski Day. With the purchase of a $30 +GST ticket ($20 for youth and $10 for children), residents of the Bow Valley can enjoy a full day of skiing or riding at Sunshine Village. All money raised will be donated to a worthy community cause in the Bow Valley area. The event continues Saturday at Mt. Norquay and Sunday at Lake Louise. “With 100 per cent of the proceeds from this event distributed amongst Bow Valley charities, this is a great opportunity for us at Sunshine Village to give back to such a valued community,” said Ralph D. Scurfield, President and principal owner of Sunshine Village Ski and Snowboard Resort. The money raised during this annual event enables the three resorts to support numerous not-for-profit organizations including the Banff YWCA, The Banff Child Care Centre, Banff Community Foundations, Banff Mineral Springs Hospital and many more.
