-Canada’s Olympic gold and silver medallists at Sochi to compete on Sunshine’s slopes-

Banff, Alberta, Canada – Sunshine Village will host Canada’s current and future stars as they compete againstother up-and-coming athletes from the USA and around the world on the resort’s world class slopes in the Sport Chek Canadian Ski Cross Tour Nor-Am Cup finals.

The event, which takes place on Sunshine’s world class slopes from April 7 -9, will include Canadian Olympians Marielle Thompson and Kelsey Serwa, who captured gold and silver respectively in the women’s ski cross event in Sochi and Brady Leman, who narrowly missed the podium with a fourth place finish on the men’s side.

Races take place on the bottom of South Divide, easily accessible for viewing via the Great Divide Express Quad.

At Nor-Am Cup races, Canada’s aspiring ski stars get the chance to compete at an international level and enable athletes to prepare mentally and technically for World Cup racing. Canada has won every overall Nor-Am Cup in women’s ski cross since the first Nor-Am ski cross season in 2009-10.
