Sunshine Village celebrates a snowy Australia Day
Head out to Sunshine Village this Saturday, January 26th for lots of champagne powder, food and beverage specials and a bunch of really proud Aussies.
On Saturday, January 26th, Sunshine Village guests are invited to help celebrate Australia’s national day and with many Sunshine employees hailing from the land down under, the celebration moves from the beach to the snow.
With 22 cm (9 in) of fresh snow falling on the resort over the last 48 hours, it’s shaping up to be another fantastic weekend at Sunshine Village. The current snow pack has settled to 151 cm (59 in), providing a solid mid-season base and this week’s forecasted snow will result in nearly 450 cm (177 in) of the white stuff falling on the resort to date.
Events taking place for Sunshine’s Australia Day celebrations include a thong toss and snow rugby game.
In addition, guests can indulge in meat pie and chip specials at Mad Trappers Saloon all day long and don’t forget your green and gold attire.
