If you’re looking to escape the city this Canada day long weekend, why not enjoy a fun filled day of celebration in one of Canada’s Best National parks. Celebrations will begin at noon in Central Park, downtown Banff and go until the spectacular fireworks which will begin at 11:00pm. The family friendly celebrations will include activities such as face painting, balloon artists and a magic show. For adults there will be an assortment of local food booths as well as live entertainment throughout the day and featuring Suzie Q and the Boneyard. The annual parade will begin at 5:00pm at the corner of Fox and Banff Avenue then head straight down Banff Avenue all the way to the corner of Buffalo street.
Also, to help celebrate The Calgary Stampedes 100th Centennial, the Calgary Stamped White Hat Round up will be preforming a white hat ceremony as well as bringing a Centennial Birthday cake for everyone to enjoy.
