Kevin Sorbo at Sunshine Village, Banff, Alberta (AB) 2012Follow us on Facebook for MORE celebrity ImagesGrammy and Golden Globe winner Edward James Olmos, Matthew Gray Gubler of the hot television show Criminal Minds and Kevin Sorbo of Hercules fame are the latest celebrities to join the almost three dozen stars heading to Sunshine Village Friday and Saturday to help raise funds for the Waterkeeper Alliance.

They join Emmy and Golden Globe winner Alec Baldwin and Academy Award winning actress Marcia Gay Harden, all of whom will enjoy Canada’s best snow and the best snow conditions in years when they descend on Sunshine Village, January 13th and January 14th.

Along with co-host Robert F. Kennedy Jr., they will compete in skiing, snowshoeing and tobogganing events all within close-up viewing to the public. Only need a lift ticket is required to attend.

Amongst the other actors tentatively scheduled to attend are Alicia Silverstone, Peter Fonda, Lorenzo Lamas, Ed Begley Jr., Amy Acker, Jennifer Finnigan, Brad Garrett, Cheryl Hines, Giancarlo Esposito, Julia Jones, Camryn Manheim, Jason Priestly, Mimi Rogers, Jonathan Silverman, Kelly Lebrock and Virginia Madsen as well as many others.

Events start at 10am Friday and Saturday at Sunshine Village with the snowshoeing and tobogganing on the first day and a dual ski race following on Saturday.

The event, which is filmed for television by producer Marjoe Gortner, has in the past raised more than $1 million to support Kennedy’s Waterkeeper Alliance.
