Powder Alert: Sunshine to receive over 30 cm the next few days

May 1, 2014

It’s going to be an incredible kick off to the first weekend of May as Sunshine Village Ski Resort is forecasted to receive over 30 cm of champagne powder with a system hitting the slopes over the next few days.

Snow-forecast.com is predicting 19 cm of snowfall throughout the day on Friday, May 2nd and another 15 cm on Saturday, May 3rd, which means skiers and riders can rejoice as they hit the slopes for the homestretch of the 2013-2014 season.

With nearly 30 feet of snow falling on the resort so far this season and an incredible showing of powder perfect days so far this spring, the resort is poised to deliver on Canada’s Best Snow right up until May 19th.

This weekend will also kick off the second act of the four week long Spring Concert Series, with country crooner Tim Hus hitting the Pepsi Stage. The world class resort will remain wide open for exceptional spring time skiing and riding throughout May long weekend with the 86th Annual Slush Cup party on holiday Monday.

Sunshine’s current settled base is sitting at a current 201 cm (6 ft 7 in) with 821 cm (26 ft 11 in) of snow falling on the resort this season to date.
