This Saturday’s tenth annual Dash for Cash at Sunshine Village is shaping up to be a fantastic event with nearly 25 teams signed up so far.
The event, which raises funds for The Dave Irwin Foundation for Brain Injury, pits teams of four skiers or riders against each other in fun races.
Any level of skier or rider is welcome, however, all participants must wear a helmet.
Fantastic prizes including skis, jackets and more will be awarded in a variety of areas including fastest team, slowest team, and top fundraising individual.
In order to participate, all teams need a team name and must raise a minimum of $1,000 to enter.
This year’s event will feature celebrity coaches, such as World Cup Winner Felix Belcyzk, Mountaineer Chic Scott, Mountain Runner Amy Golumbia, Legendary Coach Bruce Henry, Author Janet Love Morrison, Olympian Bobsleigh pioneer Christina Smith, and Olympic Medallist Jungle Jim Hunter.
Join us on Friday, February 3rd at Creekside for a party featuring singer, songwriter Jace Everett of HBO series True Blood fame and Banff favourite Dennis Williams.
A minimum $10 donation will be asked for at the door and all proceeds go to the foundation.
In order to sign up for the Dash, teams can email Lynne Harrison at email@example.com or sign up by Friday, February 2nd.
