Rogers Terrain Park Open Sunshine Village’s immensely popular Rogers Terrain Park opened to skiers and boarders today. Crews have been working hard in the past weeks, building numerous features in the 12 acre park. The park opened with about 14 features, including jumps and an assortment of rails and boxes. An all-natural snowfall this season of over 400cm has given Alberta’s most popular ski and snowboard resort the snow pack it needed to build a variety of great features. “In the past couple of years, the Rogers Terrain Park has become a Sunshine favourite,” says John Scurfield Senior Vice-President Sales, Marketing and Resort Operations. “With 51 cm of snow the past week conditions are fantastic.” With the Rogers Terrain park open, the mountain is primed and ready for the 2012 Fairmont Banff Springs Celebrity Invitational at Sunshine Village. Alec Baldwin, Buzz Aldrin, Kevin Sorbo, Peter Fonda, Christie Brinkley and other celebrities will be at Sunshine Village enjoying a variety of activities including tobogganing, double slalom races and more on Friday, January 13th and Saturday, January 14th.
