Sunshine earns sixth consecutive title as top ski resort

October 25, 2013

Sunshine Village has earned the top honour in the Ski Resort category with the Calgary Herald Readers’ Choice Awards.

This prestigious accolade marks the resort’s 6th consecutive win in the Gold category and 12th consecutive Readers’ Choice nod, solidifying its dominance as best ski resort in the Canadian Rockies.

“At Sunshine we remain dedicated to ensuring each guest has a first class visitor experience,” said Dave Riley, Chief Operating Officer, Sunshine Village Ski and Snowboard Resort. “Each year we reinvest back into the resort and with upcoming projects such as the anticipated Goat’s Eye Day Lodge, we will continue to elevate our offerings for all skiers and riders.”

With the new season fast approaching, and snow covering the mountains, the resort is gearing up for 2013-2014.

“Along with the friendly atmosphere, the champagne powder snow is one of the things people just love about Sunshine,” said Riley. “Coming off an exceptional 2012-2013 season, in which we experienced an incredible start, we are buzzing with anticipation for what is to come.

Sunshine Village has the longest non-glacial season in North America and is renowned for its champagne powder snow.
