New four course menu launched with Taste of Sunshine culinary series

Sunshine Village unveiled the latest menu in the exclusive on-mountain Taste of Sunshine Friday night dining series at the Eagle’s Nest restaurant.  Each month Chef Martin Brenner, of the Sunshine Mountain Lodge, carefully crafts a delectable four course tasting menu with wine pairing inspired by his team of internationally trained chefs.

Throughout March, Chef Brenner will feature a Canadian-themed menu where guests can enjoy Alberta Bison Rib Eye steak with a blueberry jus, followed by warm Okanagan bread pudding with maple whisky sauce for dessert.

Every Friday night, guests can ride the eight-passenger high speed gondola to the top of Lookout Mountain to the Sunshine Mountain Lodge, to indulge in regionally-inspired fare.   

“The Taste of Sunshine is such an incredibly unique dining experience, located in the heart of Sunshine Village,” begins Chef Brenner. “There is nothing like dining on top of a mountain and I am pleased to unveil my new menu crafted with local, sustainable, Canadian ingredients.

With complementary gondola access Friday nights from 5 p.m. – 10:30 p.m., enjoy a moonlight ride up to the Village to experience the resort after dark. Guests are reminded to bundle up to enjoy this unique winter experience in the heart of the Canadian Rockies.
