Backed by the World Travel Awards and sponsored by National Geographic Traveller, Newsweek and CNBC, voting opens to the public on Monday, August 26th.

The World Ski Awards is the first ever program to acknowledge and reward the finest brands in the global ski hospitality industry. The exclusive awards program features four categories: best ski resort, best hotel, best boutique hotel and best chalet in the top 20 ski nations.

The winners of each national category will go head-to-head with the winners of the other countries before the unveiling of the World Winners.

Launched in 2012, the World Ski Awards aim to drive up standards within the ski industry by rewarding the organizations that are leaders in their field. An estimated 400 million skier visits will take place in 2013 to the 2,000 ski resorts that are shaping the future of this dynamic industry.
