Tim Hus to hit the Pepsi Stage Quintessential Canadian country crooner Tim Hus to perform at Sunshine Village April 30, 2014 This first weekend of May, Sunshine Village will present Canada’s favourite country music story teller Tim Hus and his Travelin’ Band to the Pepsi Stage. The second act in the immensely popular Sunshine Village Spring Concert Series, Tim brings his distinctive brand of Canadiana cowboy music to the slopes to entertain on mountain guests this Saturday, May 3nd and Sunday, May 4th. Coined the quintessential cowboy singer, Calgary-based Hus has toured across the country for the better part of a decade with highlights including tour dates with the legendary Stompin’ Tom Connors and a performance for the Alberta Centennial celebrations at the Smithsonian Institutes Folklife Festival in Washington D.C. His most recent album Hockeytown, with respected roots label Stony Plain Records, encompasses all that is Canadiana from coast-to-coast. Tim Hus and his Travelin’ band will hit the Pepsi Stage at 2 pm and 4 pm respectively in perfect view of the resort’s outdoor patio scene in the heart of the village. Sunshine Spring Concert Series The resort’s spring time outdoor concerts, which will see five local bands entertain on-mountain guests, will take place every weekend from April 26th and 27th through May 17th and 18th. The final act will perform on holiday Monday this Victoria Day Long weekend on May 19th. This year’s artists include returning favourites from Tim Hus and his Travelin’ Band to Funk and Disorderly, who bring their infectious mix of eclectic funk and reggae infused grooves. The live shows can be enjoyed by anyone with a lift ticket or season’s pass. Non-skiers may also purchase a gondola-only ticket to reach the concert area, located high in the Canadian Rockies. The Sunshine Pepsi Stage is located in the heart of the village next to historical Mad Trapper’s Saloon and the Molson Coors Beer Gardens, new Patron Igloo and the Veuve Clicquot Champagne and Oyster Bar.
