Canadian Ski Council

July 4, 2012

Sunshine Village is honored to be recognized by the Canadian Ski Council as one of Canada’s top ski areas this year with a Gordon Canning Customer Satisfaction and Operational Excellence Research Award.

Since 2004, the Canadian Ski Council has chosen ski areas from across Canada who have participated in the CSC's National Research program and conducted exceptional research at their ski areas over the winter season. They have chosen ski areas from each province or region who have demonstrated an outstanding record of customer loyalty, excellence in customer satisfaction and a strong commitment to increasing growth in skiing and snowboarding. Sunshine Village is proud to be the award recipient for the province of Alberta.

“This is outstanding news,” says John Scurfield, Senior Vice-President Sales, Marketing and Resort Operations. “Winning this award shows that all the hard work we’ve put into the guest experience has paid off.”

Over the years, Sunshine’s owners have put more than $60 million into lift upgrades and other infrastructure improvements. Today, it has the most modern lift system in the Rockies. But many guests to Sunshine Village say the friendly employees are as much an attraction as the champagne powder snow.
