Emmy and Golden Globe winner Alec Baldwin and Academy Award actress Marcia Gay Harden will enjoy the best snow conditions in years when they descend on Sunshine Village this Friday, January 13th and Saturday, January 14th.

Along with co-host Robert F. Kennedy Jr., they will be joined by almost three dozen other celebrities for skiing, snowshoeing and tobogganing events, all in Canada’s Best Snow.

Amongst the other actors tentatively scheduled to attend are William Shatner, Alicia Silverstone, Peter Fonda, Lorenzo Lamas, Ed Begley Jr., Amy Acker, Jennifer Finnigan, Brad Garrett, Cheryl Hines, Giancarlo Esposito, Julia Jones, Camryn Manheim, Jason Priestly, Mimi Rogers, Jonathan Silverman, Kelly Lebrock and Virginia Madsen as well as many others.

Other celebrities include astronaut Buzz Aldrin, supermodel Christie Brinkley, and Olympic medalists Jennifer Heil and Al Joyner. The events take place within very easy walking or skiing distance of the main gondola terminal in Sunshine’s upper village. Spectators can watch events from only a few feet away or simply catch the stars enjoying a day of skiing or boarding. Many stars are likely to also ski on Thursday or Sunday.

Events start at 10am Friday and Saturday at Sunshine Village with the snowshoeing and tobogganing on the first day and a dual ski race following on Saturday.

“Sunshine is simply a great place to see the stars up close and also enjoy spectacular skiing and riding conditions,” says John Scurfield, Senior Vice-President Sales, Marketing and Resort Operations. “Our recent heavy snowfall has resulted in more of our signature champagne powder and the Celebrity Ski Invitational is not to be missed.”

Stay at the Sunshine Mountain Lodge and take advantage of special accommodation packages, including 50% off room rate. For more details, go to www.skibanff.com/sunshine-village/celebrity-ski or 1-87-SKI-BANFF.

The event will culminate with the Stargazer gala dinner and concert by Michael McDonald at The Fairmont Banff Springs. Tickets can be purchased here.
