Adaptive Sports – All In With Tyler Turner

In his new adaptive sports series All In, Paralympic para-snowboard champion Tyler Turner sets out to prove that any sport is for anyone.

After a life-changing skydiving accident in 2017 resulted in the loss of both of his legs below the knee, Turner turned adversity into achievement by becoming one of Canada’s most accomplished Paralympic snowboarders. He captured gold in snowboard cross and bronze in banked slalom at the Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter Games, and has since won three consecutive Crystal Globes and back-to-back world championship titles in snowboard cross. Further cementing his legacy in the sport, Turner was named co-captain of Team Canada for the 2026 Paralympic Winter Games in Milano Cortina, Italy.

Now, Turner is taking on a different kind of challenge with All In. Across the series’ eight episodes, he pairs up with elite athletes to learn more about their sport, ranging from freediving and waveski to stand-up hockey and baseball.

The series comes full circle in its final episode at Banff Sunshine Village, where Turners own adaptive snowboarding journey began. This time, he takes on a new challenge by learning freestyle sit-skiing from adaptive athlete Jay Rawe.

Rawe recently joined Sunshine Village’s For the Love of Winter podcast with host Kendra Scurfield to share his journey into adaptive sport and sit-skiing. You can listen to the episode here.

That return to Sunshine Village is especially meaningful for Turner, who has continued to support adaptive sport at the resort through his Leg Burner Banked Slalom fundraiser. Hosted by Turner for the past two years, the event raises funds for the Canadian Para Snowboard Team while creating more opportunities for Canadians to pursue adaptive snowboarding. Like All In, it celebrates the power of adaptive sport and challenges people to rethink what’s possible.
