Best of the Bow
Best of the Bow
For the second year in the row, Banff Sunshine Village has been named the locals pick for "Best Ski Resort in Banff National Park," "Home of the Best Ski Run, Delirium Dive," and new this year we've added the title of "Best Place to Hike."
Thank You Sunshiners! You are our SUNSHINE. Thanks for helping us win the Rocky Mountain Outlook's Best of the Bow for the second year in a row. We couldn't have won the favorite fan award without you.
"At Banff Sunshine Village, we're honored to be named the locals' choice for best ski and snowboard resort in the Canadian Rockies. Our local community has an abundance of choices as to where they ski. We strive to differentiate our mountain experience with a focus on service excellence and a commitment to consistently improving our service offerings," says Kendra Scurfield, media and communications manager. " We're honored to be named the locals' favourite for the second year in a row."
Delirium Dive, our Special Restriction Freeride Zone, has taken the title of best ski run in both Canmore and Banff. The steep and deep alpine cirque zone is a favorite of locals, offering a descent or over 2,000 feet of pure bliss. Be sure to bring a buddy and your avalanche safety gear to try it out.
Sunshine Meadows was named the favorite day hike for Banff. The over 12 km trail system is well-maintained and fun for hikers of any age or ability. Our Scenic Gondola or Alpine Shuttle will take you up to the Village where you can find the trail heads or take the Standish Sightseeing Chair to take you up to the viewing deck where you can see the 3 alpine lakes.
We're looking forward to seeing you all back on the slopes this winter. Fingers crossed, for another incredible snow year. Tentatively, we're aiming to open November 10th for the 2017/18 ski season.
