What first drew you to Banff Sunshine Village, and what keeps you passionate about it today?
I was drawn to Banff Sunshine Village for the opportunity to step outside my comfort zone and be part of something truly unique. Moving across the country to a mountain town felt like the perfect blend of professional growth and personal adventure. Even in my first few weeks, the welcoming community, the passion of the team, and the incredible surroundings have reinforced that this was the right move, and it keeps me energized every day.
How has working at Banff Sunshine Village helped you grow personally?
Being surrounded by people who are deeply passionate about what they do has been incredibly energizing. It’s reinforced the importance of bringing curiosity and openness into new environments and has reminded me how powerful it can be to work somewhere that inspires me both personally and professionally.
What’s something unique about your position that most people wouldn’t expect?
People are often surprised that HR isn’t just policies and paperwork — it’s really about people, problem-solving, and a bit of creativity every day.
What’s a fun fact about you most people wouldn’t guess?
While I love a lot of different sports and activities, I grew up a competitive swimmer and was on the Canadian National Swim Team for a couple of years. My event was the 200-meter backstroke.
What’s your go to ski song?
My taste in music definitely connects me to my youth, you’ll find me listening to 90s pop most of the time or something on the current Top 40s playlist.
