Nov. 11- Teepee Town & Angel Open For The Season

Early Season Skiing Keeps Getting Better at Banff Sunshine Village!

Banff Sunshine Village to Open Teepee Town LX and Angel Express Saturday November 11th

With snow in the forecast and a solid base, early season skiing and snowboarding continues to improve at Banff Sunshine Village. The famed Banff resort is set to open two of its big mountain chairs, Angel Express and Canada’s only heated chair Teepee Town LX. With the addition of Angel and Teepee Town LX,  come Saturday we'll have 7 lifts, servicing more terrain, than any other resort in the region.

With Angel and Teepee Town taking flight, skiers and snowboarders at Banff Sunshine Village will have more mountains of fun. Both chairs are known for their long runs, and rich snow. The eastern facing slopes, make the snow on the runs off of Angel and Teepee Town some of our very best.

“The conditions on our upper mountain are skiing mid-winter like,” says mountain manager Al Matheson, “with sunny warm weather forecast for this weekend and a snow front crossing the Rockies next week the skiing is poised only to get better.”

With Angel and Teepee Town open, early season lift tickets will now increase to $87 for an adult, and $73 for Sunshine Super Card holders.

For skiers and snowboarders hoping to catch first chair, while sleeping in, Sunshine Mountain Lodge is now open for the winter season. Sunshine Mountain Lodge is Banff’s only ski-in, ski-out hotel.

The resort advises skiers and snowboarders to employ caution, as early season hazards may exist around the resort.  To follow our early season progress, follow us on Facebook and check out the webcams.
