Peak Moments from the 2021/22 Season

Winter 2021/22 was one for the books! The 7-month long ski and snowboard season was full of Canada’s Best Snow (over 30 feet!), lifting restrictions, the return of Slush Cup and much more. Take a look as we revisit some of the peaks of the past season.

Here's a cruise through some of our peak moments from the past season:

November 11th, 2022: Opening day with no social distancing! At Banff Sunshine Village, our season kicked off with prime conditions and terrain to entertain all abilities! In honour of Remembrance Day, we paid tribute to all those who served and continue to serve our country with free skiing.

November 17th, 2022: Snow, lots, and lots of snow! Storm after storm, we rode into the 21/22 season with an abundance of Canada's Best Snow here at Sunshine Village.

December 6th, 2022: Canadian companies felt Banff Sunshine was the perfect location to inspire patriotism, and we couldn't agree more! With the Winter Olympics just around the corner, it wasn't long after we saw Banff Sunshine's stunning vistas broadcast across the country.

December 15th, 2022: We had an early welcoming to the Wild West with its earliest opening in years! Just 7 days later we dove into delirium with the opening of Delirium Dive.

February 4th, 2022: The 2022 winter Olympics have begun! Many Paralympians and Olympians trained in the high alpine of Sunshine Village, striving for victory on the world stage. Athletes that trained at Sunshine Village stepped onto the podium, such as Eliot Grondin, Max Parrot, Mark McMorris, Meryeta O'Dine, Tyler Turner and Lisa Dejong.

February 14th, 2022: With love in the air, we teamed up with EVStenroos Designer Jeweller to add some Sunshine to two lucky couples on Valentine's Day.

February 15th, 2022: We welcomed our international friends to our beautiful country with open arms as the restrictions lifted for international travellers!

March 1st, 2022: We were finally able to see everyone's sunshine smiles with the mask mandate being lifted along with our spirits.

April 25th, 2022: Holy Bowly popped off with every snowboarder's dream build! The park had almost as much flow as the local and international superstars who slayed the park, blowing minds for a week straight.

May 1st, 2022: Snowboard Canada Camp, The Gathering took over Holy Bowly for their time to shine. Slopestyle snowboard teams across Canada came to experience the unique build, allowing a supportive and constructive environment to push young athletes to new heights.

May 23rd, 2022: The event everyone has been waiting for, Slush Cup came back with a splash! Sunshiner's attempted to make it across the pond while some opted for a cannonball like splash, spraying the party in Trappers Beer Garden.

Winter will be back before we know it!

Can't wait until winter to see us; this "off-season" rediscover our summer side.

We open for summer sightseeing and hiking on June 24th!
