RED BULL JUMP & FREEZE DEBUTS IN CANADA ON APRIL 25th

Applications Now Open to Thrill Seekers to Build Self-crafted Vehicles and Takeover Banff Sunshine Village

Sunshine Village is set to play host to the ultimate winter showdown, Red Bull Jump & Freeze. This event will see up to 30 teams dress up in creative costumes and ride down in a self-crafted vehicle, into icy, cold water to try to reach the other end of the pool. The winning team will take home a Red Bull Jump & Freeze trophy and Sunshine Village season passes for each team member for the 2026-2027 season.

Canadians can now apply online if they think they have what it takes to burn their mark into the history books by sliding themselves down the slope in self-crafted vehicles. To apply, you must send a sketch of your craft along with a team of two to four of your friends. The best team will be judged on costume or vehicle creativity, performance and difficulty of their jump. Red Bull Jump & Freeze is a global event with participants in multiple countries taking the challenge, such as Japan, Slovakia and Kazakhstan.

Banff Sunshine Village is set to play host to this high-energy winter event on the scenic views of “Goat’s Eye”. A fitting location for an event of this kind as Banff is considered to be the birthplace of pond skimming, dating back to 1928. Red Bull Jump & Freeze will harness the same elements of spring skiing fun with a unique twist never seen before. The event will be free and open to spectators to come take in the action of teams taking their chance to jump into the freezing pool at the end.
