Standish Express Opens November 14th

Winter is building beautifully at Banff Sunshine Village. Following an incredible early-season stretch, we’re thrilled to announce that the Standish Express Chairlift will open to the public on Saturday, November 15th, adding even more terrain to explore on Canada’s Best Snow.

With Standish Express, Wawa, Wolverine Express, Jackrabbit, and Strawberry Express now spinning — plus the Sunshine Gondola and Mitey Mite Conveyor — guests can enjoy a total of seven lifts and dozens of open runs across the resort.

Over the past week, 31 cm of new snow has fallen across the mountain, setting up incredible early-season conditions. Our mountain operations teams have been hard at work grooming, assessing snowpack, and opening terrain safely for your turns.

We recommend waiting to use and redeem your Sunshine Super Card until later in the season once Lift Ticket prices are at the full rate. This way you will get your best value out of the program. The $40 off additional days discount does not apply to Early Season Discounted Rates, but rather to Regular Season Rates.

Sunshine Season Pass Holders who have not yet received their 2025/26 Season Pass can head to Guest Services on the 2nd Floor of Creekside Lodge at the Bourgeau Base Area. We apologize for those who have not received their Season Pass in the mail due to the ongoing Canada Post strike.
