'Tis The Season to Ski! As Canadian's, we know winter well. At Banff Sunshine Village, we believe that winter is something to celebrate. After all, winter is Canada's most renewable resource. With fresh snow in the mountains and the holidays fast approaching 'tis the season to get into the ski and snowboard spirit.

Our Sunshine SnowHost's are in the giving spirit and spreading Sunshine Joy. If you're new to Sunshine, join them for a FREE guided tour of the resort. They meet daily at 11:45 outside of Trappers.

If you're new to skiing or snowboarding, sign up for one of our First Timmer Lessons. Which includes your lesson, lift ticket and rentals.

Post ski, aprés with our classic Mulled Wine in the Chimney Corner. (Or two, if you caught a ride on the Sunshine Express from Banff.) The Sunshine Express is free for all skiers and snowboarders. Here's the schedule.

At Banff Sunshine Village, we're embracing the spirit of winter this holidays. The Christmas Tree's are dressed, the decorations are out, and Santa made is first official ski of the season. Yes, Santa is a skier, and he's a big fan of Standish Chair. We welcomed December with an early (and greatly appreciated gift) of 20 cm (8 in) of fresh, light, dry, fluffy snow. You know the stuff, when you're riding it, you feel like you're skiing on cloud nine.

Throughout December. We'll be bringing the magic of Winter in the Canadian Rockies to life. We'll be hosting an array of family-friendly events for kids of all ages. This December, every weekend Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on the slopes handing out candy and posing for pictures.

Visiting Banff Sunshine Village?  Grab a Christmas postcard from Sunshine Mountain Lodge to send to friends and family.

With all the new snow, our team has made progress on opening more terrain. Our Kids Play Park on Wolverine is now open, as are more runs of off Angel. We're still working on building the traverse on Goat's Eye and Angel, and we hope to have them open for skiing very soon. Stay tuned to our social media channels for updates.
