Valentine’s Day at Sunshine

Sync the beat of your heart to the tempo of former pro snowboarder, 2010 Winter Olympics sports announcer, and rising Canadian DJ, Joanna Magik this Valentine’s Day afternoon at Sunshine.

Known for her high-octane sound, she’s been featured in festivals such as Shambhala, Miami Music Week, Badlands and, of course, Slush Cup. You may have even recognized her at the Scotiabank Saddledome where she’s the Calgary Flames’ resident DJ. Now she lands on Sunshine’s slopes not to shred, but to spin the tables Saturday afternoon at the best Après scene in the west, the G.O.A.T Club.

Expect an illustrious blend of house, techno, and bass music that pulls you into entrainment — a physiological phenomenon where the human body subconsciously syncs the internal rhythms of its heart to the tempo of music.

If you’re cruising on Sunshine’s biggest and baaaadest lift, Goat’s Eye, you may be able to hear the music on the slopes as you carve your way down the lift.
