Join us on Sunday, September 13th, and capture the beauty of the Canadian Rockies through our watercolor painting workshop in the breathtaking setting of Sunshine Meadows. Whether you’re picking up a paintbrush for the first time or a seasoned artist looking for fresh inspiration, this guided session welcomes all skill levels.
All painting supplies are provided, all you need to bring is your creativity!
Workshop Details
Date: Sunday, September 13, 2026
Duration: 2.5 hours
Participation: $60
Times & Location:
– Meet at the Sunshine Interpretive Center at 9:30 (located in the Centennial Day Lodge) for a 1 hour guided Watercolor Coaching session
– 10:30 plein air painting session, 1.5 hour outdoor session where you’ll create your own mountain-inspired watercolor piece.
Things to note
In the event of unfavorable weather, an indoor location will be available.
There is a 22-minute Gondola ride from the base to the Interpretive center.
A sightseeing pass is not included in the $60 participation fee.
Meet our watercolor Coach, Pieter!
Pieter Sneep is 38 years old and originally from the Netherlands. Four years ago, he came to the Bow Valley and has been inspired by its beauty and landscapes ever since. Having painted for almost 15 years in various mediums, watercolor has become his main passion. Join Pieter for our Watercolor Workshops where you’ll paint happy little trees, mountains, and much more at one of the most beautiful places in the Bow Valley: Sunshine Meadows.
