Drones and Remotely-piloted Aircraft

Using any form of Drone or Remotely Piloted Aircraft (“RPA”) is banned under the federal National Park Aircraft Access Regulation. Due to our Resort’s location in Banff National Park, any use of a Drone, RPA, or similar aircraft is subsequently banned at Banff Sunshine Village.

If you see a Drone operating anywhere at the Resort, please report it to Dispatch at (403) 762-6515 and provide any known location or flight path details.

All reports of illegal activity, unsafe flying, voyeurism and privacy breaches are directed to Banff RCMP and may result in further consequences, including loss of pass or ticket privileges. Safety and privacy concerns for guests, staff, environment and property are at the heart of this policy.

Questions about limited exceptions for commercial or non-recreational use should be directed to the Resort’s Media & Communications team (media@skibanff.com) and to the Banff Field Unit Superintendent’s office, well in advance of any proposed operation.
