Jumpstart Adults (18+)
Get your season started with four weeks of small-group coaching. Open to all abilities, from building the basics to improving technique in steeps, bumps, powder and carving.

Adult Freeriders (18+)
Take your skiing or riding further over eight weeks with some of Sunshine’s top instructors. Open to all abilities, with coaching ranging from foundational skills to steeps, bumps, powder and carving.

Mountain Freeriders (6–17)

Big Mountain Freeriders (13–17)
For advanced skiers ready to take their skills into Sunshine’s big mountain terrain. Develop technique in steeps and bumps while building avalanche-terrain awareness and beacon-finding skills.

Four weeks of fun and skill development designed for Sunshine’s youngest skiers. Kids learn alongside others at their ability level with the same group and instructor each week.

Plan For Your Program
- Lift tickets and rentals are available as add-ons during booking.
- Adult rentals do not include helmets. Kids rentals include helmets.
- Clothing, goggles and accessories are available in the Sunshine retail shop.
- Lunch is available as an add-on for select programs.
- Daycare is available as an add-on for Tiny Tigers for the opposite half of the day from their lesson.
Meeting Location
All lessons depart from the Snow School meeting area in the Village, located at the top of the Sunshine Gondola.
Please arrive early to allow time to check in and get organized before your lesson begins.
Gondola Access
Everyone riding the gondola must have a lift ticket, season pass, or sightseeing pass.
Parents accompanying children to the meeting area must also have lift access.
Tiny Tigers: Good to Know
Lift Tickets
If your child requires a lift ticket, pick it up on the first day of the program at the Ski & Snowboard School Sales Desk in Creekside Lodge at the base area before heading up the gondola.
Make It A Full Day
Tiny Tigers programs are offered as separate AM and PM sessions. Book both sessions to create a full day. When both AM and PM are booked, lunch can be added so your child can stay with their instructor between sessions.
Daycare
Daycare can be added for the opposite half of the day from your child’s lesson, allowing you to combine a half-day Tiny Tigers lesson with a half-day of daycare.
Ability Levels
Choose the correct ability level when booking. Participants are grouped based on the ability level selected during booking. Please choose the level that best reflects your or your child’s current skiing or snowboarding ability. If the wrong level is selected, Sunshine cannot guarantee space will be available in the appropriate group once the program begins.
Big Mountain Freeriders
This program is specifically for double-black skiers. Participants will be assessed to ensure they meet the required ability level.
Big Mountain Freeriders: before you book
Big Mountain Freeriders is designed for advanced skiers ages 13–17. Participants must own and bring a beacon, shovel and probe in a backpack on the first day of the program.
The program includes avalanche-terrain awareness and beacon-finding skills. Access to Delirium Dive is not guaranteed and depends on avalanche control, snow conditions and group competency. Participants who do not meet the required skiing level will be placed in an alternate group.
Registration & Cancellations
Jumpstart Programs
Registration closes November 15, 2026. Cancellations after November 15 are eligible for a 50% refund.
January Multiweek Programs
Registration closes December 31, 2026. Cancellations after December 31 are subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
Minimum participation is required for groups to run. Programs may be cancelled or combined if minimum registration isn’t met. Some programs and ability levels may also reach capacity before registration closes.
